How to Make Hot Honey Glazed Salmon

1) Make the Hot Honey Glaze

In a small saucepan combine honey, butter, Hot Honey Blaze seasoning, soy sauce, and lime juice. Heat over medium-low heat for 1–2 minutes, stirring until smooth and combined. Set aside — this is the glaze you'll brush over the salmon.

2) Season the Salmon

Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Drizzle with olive oil and season with Hot Honey Blaze seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Pressing the seasoning gently into the flesh.

3) Cook the Salmon

Preheat oven to 400°F / 200°C. Place salmon skin-side down on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, then brush generously with the hot honey glaze. Return to the oven and bake another 4–6 minutes until the glaze caramelizes and salmon flakes easily with a fork. Internal temperature should reach 125–130°F for medium or 145°F for well done.

4) Serve

Remove from the oven and brush with any remaining glaze. Garnish with fresh cilantro and lime wedges. Serve immediately over rice or with roasted vegetables.

Other Cooking Methods

Stovetop Skillet

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil. Place salmon skin-side up and sear for 3–4 minutes. Flip, brush with glaze, and cook another 3–4 minutes until cooked through. Brush with remaining glaze before serving.

Air Fryer Hot Honey Salmon

Air fry at 400°F / 200°C for 8–10 minutes. Brush with hot honey glaze halfway through cooking and again right before serving for maximum caramelization.

Tips for Perfect Hot Honey Salmon

Pat the salmon dry before seasoning — this helps the crust form and the glaze stick properly.
- Don't overcook — salmon goes from perfect to dry quickly. Pull it at 125–130°F for moist, flaky results.
- Glaze twice — once midway through cooking and again right before serving for maximum flavor.
- Room temperature salmon cooks more evenly — take it out of the fridge 10 minutes before cooking.
- Skin-on fillets are more forgiving and keep the fish together better during cooking.

Storage & Reheating

Leftover salmon keeps in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat for 2–3 minutes or in a 300°F oven for 10 minutes. Avoid the microwave — it overcooks the salmon and makes it rubbery. Cold hot honey salmon is also excellent flaked over a salad straight from the fridge.
